Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
