Former President Donald Trump stated on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to visit the executive mansion.

He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “devastated”.

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in DC.

Her fellow service member, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

The president explained he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” Trump told the press. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”

Attendees gathered over the weekend at a local school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s national effort to aid policing efforts in the capital.

“Sarah was the individual that teachers hoped for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that inspired people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the press. “She was caring, caring and always eager to help others.”

Authorities have charged a 29-year-old suspect with one count of homicide and two counts of violent assault while armed.

The tragedy prompted the administration to pause asylum applications and temporarily stop providing visas to owners of Afghan passports.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a native of the city, started his military career in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, as reported by the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “battling to survive”, West Virginia leader Patrick Morrisey stated on a news program.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general informed Fox News Sunday that she also intended to speak to his relatives.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in mid-2023 and began her service not long after, working as a law enforcement officer with honor, as stated by the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of goodness and she certainly had courage,” Morrisey told the audience at the memorial. “Though her time lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
