Isak Back in Action

The Liverpool striker, absent from action since 22 October because of a groin problem, made the squad for World Cup qualifying matches versus the Swiss team (November 15th) plus the Slovenian side (November 18th)

Both athletes were included in Potter's England-based contingent selected under former multiple English clubs boss the new Swedish coach

Potter's Role

The English manager was appointed the Swedish federation first temporarily on 20 October, under a month following his departure by West Ham

Former manager Jon Dahl Tomasson was sacked following the national team's defeat against Kosovo on 13 October, an outcome which rendered straight qualification in qualifying group out of reach

Present Position

The Swedish team are currently bottom of their qualifying group having only one point from their opening four games

Even if they fail to finish second, there remains a chance they might be involved in the secondary qualification due to of their results during the previous UEFA competition
