English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The three finalists have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

The Football Star

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
