Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
